Holiday in Cyprus and enjoy the glorious sunshine but  tan safely, take care of your skin when out in the sun and you will still achieve that fab suntan.

If your off to the beach, don’t forget your sun block your sun shades, a towel and sandals.

If you have ever been sunburnt you will know all to well the soreness and redness which is associated with sun exposure to UVB rays, which are also a strong risk factor for skin cancer.

In Cyprus you simply cannot avoid going out in the sun on a gorgeous day, and why would you want to, so please read the following for safe sun tanning, enjoy your holiday but be wise.

Tips for a Fab Safe Sun Tan

Be especially careful when in or on the water, the strong sun may badly burn the skin without giving you any warning signs.

Hats and t-shirts will provide some degree of protection when playing sports or simply relaxing on a nice day.

Some individuals should exercise extreme caution when exposed to the sun, these include people with very fair skin, people who burn often or tan poorly, people with many freckles or moles, those under age 16, and those with a history of skin cancer themselves or in their family history.  Remeber even if these conditions do not apply to you it is still very important to be smart about your own exposure to the sun.

Before you dress and go out in the sun apply sun block to ensure that you don’t miss any areas.

Build up that tan gradually over time never be tempted to burn – burnt skin is a sign of skin damage.

Stay in the shade or out of the sun between 12 noon and 3 o’clock when the sun is at its hottest and strongest. Stay in the shade or cover up with a T-shirt and broad-brimmed hat.

If you intend to play a lot of sports or swimming, choose a special sports formula or waterproof formulation.

Use a good lip screen as lips need to be protected to stop them from burning and chapping.

Lastly enjoy your holiday in Cyprus, take home with you a fab tan and warm found memories of your time spent in Northern Cyprus with its warm friendly mediterranean peoples.
