| | Buffavento situated at an altitude of 954 metres with its name meaning wind defying Buffavento was originaly built as a watchtower. Buffavento was later converted into a castle by the Lusignans.
It was generally used as a prison rather than a military stronghold. Today little of the original building remains though it is still a worth while visit. |
