Of course we are in the Mediterranean but where?  Cyprus is situated in the North East corner of the Mediterranean and is South of Turkey and West of Syria. Cyprus is approx 0.6 times the size of Connecticut and is the third largest island in the Mediterranean after Sicily and Sardinia.   The Terrain has a central plain with mountains to North and South   The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is approx 1 third of the island of Cyprus   A smallish country, approximately 120 miles from east to west.
